Today was the end of Birthday week (hehe). Birthday week has always kind of been a joke between Leland and I, because I can be such a brat around birthday time. I'm not afraid to say it, Every May 22 is a time where I'm a little selfish and pamper myself! I rarely get time to do so year-round, So I go a little crazy on birthdays.
My blog will be getting a facelift soon. I found a template I really like, even though I won't be making it. I feel like if the blog is a bit more pretty and interactive, maybe I'll be able to post on this more :)

I have alot to catch up on, I've been so busy recently.
Mostly alot of emotional flip flops and things I really can't go into on a public blog. I felt like my whole life was turned upside down and it's going to take awhile before my heart heals and I can fully put it in my past.
I'm really looking forward to some girl time with Mandy and Amanda on saturday! It's so badly needed! I promise I'll be better with updates, but for now it's time for bed. :)

I'm so bad at updating.
With that said, I have my womancave cleaned out and usable! It's really nice having your own office space. Next weekend I'm going to start priming the walls for paint and new trim. We've decided on Tiffany's blue for the walls and brown accessories. I'm ready to get it finished. So tired of decorating!
I'm tired and sore so it's bedtime for me. Have a great week!

So, the PT cruiser is mine! It drives like a dream and had all kinds of crazy features the saturn didn't even think about having!
We actually drove it to sunrise this weekend as we were going to be in town for the strikeforce fights. Oh man. The weekend was rad. We got there about 2:00 on Saturday and then went to sawgrass mills. We ate at PF changs because I thought I had a giftcard... however did not. It was still yummy. :)
We then hung out at the stadiums and did a meet and greet with some of the fighters with strikeforce and watched the weigh ins. It was a really fun enviroment to be in and Leland seemed to really enjoy it. We met up with chris at his new place in delray beach and drank/play left for dead into the early hours of the morning. We woke up and went to the ikea NEXT DOOR TO THE HOTEL (yes, it was worthy of caps lock) for b-fast and shopping.
Chris called about 11:00 telling us about an art festival on the beach so we loaded up in the car and headed out. it was amazing. right off the beach with tons of tents with different local artists showcasing their work. I wanted to buy everything there. alas, Leland did not let me. We watched the fight later that night, which was enjoyable for the boys. We found out the chair at the stadium aren't meant for 6'5 men, haha.
And now we're back home. I've been really excited because with our tax refunds and bonus' this year we're going to be able to finish our house! I'll finally have wood floors and tiled countertops and new windows/sinks in the master bath. I'm not looking forward to the amount of work it's going to take, But I'm very happy it's a process that we can take slowly until we like it. :)

Sooo car shopping did not go as planned yesterday. Basically the offer that they put on the table was way off what we originally expected to pay on the car. And not to mention they lowered the price 800.00 within 8 hours of us going to the dealership. So the pricing they gave us to take to our credit union to finance was incredibly bloated.
However Leland's dad has a friend who wants to sell his 2007 pt cruiser. And while I never thought I'd like a pt cruiser, the more I'm looking at the photos of the interior/exterior of the vehicle, I'm digging the uber retro feel of it. Not to mention the 8 feet of cargo space and stellar safety ratings. So it's definitely something we'll be looking into.

Listening to John Mayer is depressing. Not so much the music, but the fact is that man can play the freaking guitar better than pretty much anyone. I mean, How the hell do you even come close to attaining that?
In other news. I'd probably have his babies.
Leland and I are going car shopping tomorrow to see if we can replace the the fallen satty. I'm sad to put the old girl down. It's given me a good nine years and if the transmission would have lasted, It probably would have given me 9 more.
Next weekend we'll also be making our way to south Florida for a strikeforce fight. We found out today that one of Leland's favorite fighters is signing autographs at the weigh in. I'm pretty sure he's being crying man-tears of joy all day.
I've also been trying to make good on my New years resolutions. We bought wii active and it's been collectively kicking our butts. I've also been whipping up some awesome healthy meals, and learning some new cooking techniques. Ever heard of braising? You should try it.

I know, I've ignored this thing way too long.
We bought a new house and are renovating, so my time has been really tied up in that.
However, One of my goals for the year was to start blogging more, even if it's menial.
And since this is my first post for the new year, I'm going to start off with some of my goals, which I'll probably put in the sidebar and try to cross them out when I'm done to keep me motivated. It's the small things. :)
1. I'd like to start cooking more. And refining what I already cook to be healthier for Leland and I both.
2. I'd like to start an exercise program of some sort and stick with it. Even if I don't lose weight, I want to make more time to be active.
3. finish the woman cave and the master bedroom/bath remodel.
4. Go to NYC this fall! And colorado this winter for snow.
5. Read at least a 100 books before 12-31-10
I think the hardest part of the whole thing will probably be #5. I'm so picky with what I read. I have a bad habit of reading and re-reading my existing collection. But with the kindle and my new ebook community, hopefully It'll give me plenty of options :)
